Just what was needed Positive: The secluded private garden with the hot tub was just what was needed after our venture up Ben Nevis, this nearly topped the homely feel when walking through the doors. The house was clean and tidy and has everything you would need for a stay, though the property decor was different to the photos it was not a bad thing, it was definitely an upgrade. A place I would highly recommend for a couple who want a few days away. Negative: Nothing

Great location, but seriously let down by cleanliness and upkeep Positive: Location Negative: I want to write a genuinely honest and accurate review based on our experience, as I’m someone who always reads reviews carefully before booking somewhere. There were lots of positive reviews for this cottage and the photos looked beautiful, so we arrived with quite high expectations. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with our stay. The location itself is beautiful and the concept of the cottage is lovely. The foundations are genuinely there for it to be a fantastic place to stay, but the property is in serious need of a deep clean, maintenance and updating. The biggest issue for us was the cleanliness. The cottage felt very worn and unclean throughout. The carpets in particular were honestly quite disgusting. There were large stains and marks throughout, and we didn’t feel comfortable walking on them barefoot at all - we had to keep our socks or slippers on inside. If you are staying here, I would definitely recommend bringing slippers or something to wear on your feet indoors. There were also an enormous number of cobwebs around the property, and we found long black hairs inside the cupboards. The dining table wasn’t clean when we arrived and we had to clean it ourselves. The bathroom was particularly concerning. There was a significant amount of black mould around the shower, across the entire window area and throughout the bathroom. This was not a small patch that could be overlooked - it was very noticeable and needs to be properly addressed. Another major issue is that the photographs on Booking.com are simply not an accurate representation of the cottage as it is now. This isn’t just a case of furniture being slightly different or having been moved around - there is completely different furniture in the property, and some of the things shown in the photographs aren’t there anymore.

Nice location and good communication with host.

Positive: Location and views Negative: Lots of cobwebs. Washing machine didn't work. No fire kit. Tried to get this arranged and spend most of my afternoon to not get it resolved.
